Navy Ships & Shipyards with Asbestos
Asbestos was a common element in many products used to build and maintain ships and other large vessels. If you were a shipbuilder there is a strong chance you were exposed to asbestos during construction of the ship. If you served on a ship as a member of the Navy, you may have been exposed to the asbestos as well.
In either case, if you have any symptoms of mesothelioma or another asbestos disease, you should contact your doctor and ask him or her to conduct tests to determine if you have an asbestos-related disease.
